Dear AYCA, As I'm certain that you're aware, Frogger is one of the greatest
arcade games of all time. RecentlyI picked up a coin operated Frogger match from a pizza joint and would like to move the match. Since you provide free delivery and allow your clients change their matches each month, I knew that you would be an expert online arcade logistics. The problem is that I currently have the score and do not wish to detach it. Is there a way to move the match without sacrificing my position as the greatest toad of all time? Sincerely, George C. from New York
Dear George,
Believe it or not, this question led to the development of the pop-up arcade. The good thing is you can actually go a game together with the power on.
When we tried this, we could run Frogger for about 6 hours before the game started to reset on usso you could probably get it across town. When we hooked up a second match to our apparatus at precisely the exact same time, it merely made it 45 minutes before crashing, so the amount of ampage drawn will increase or decrease the result radically.
In order to run our outdoor
popup arcade with 7 games inside,
indoor playground equipment we use a mix of electronic arcades and non-electronic ones, powered by a generator. The generator won't play nice with every monitor, so it limits which games can be contained. Due to our large collection, we've been able to put together an wonderful compilation of names.
The bad news is that there does not appear to be a means of linking a self contained power unit like the one that we created to a game that is presently electrified without disrupting the present. It'd be interesting to hear from those with an electrical background on thoughts , but without having the ability to move from one power source to a different, I do not think it will be possible to store your score.
